Serves 1


  • 40ml Mezcal
  • 20ml Carpano Antica
  • 20ml Aperol
  • 3 splashes Angostura + Peychaud bitters
  • 1 splash Absinth
  • 1 Zest Orange


Step 1
Stir the Mezcal, Antica, and Aperol in a glass with lots of ice.
Step 2
Add some dashes of Angostura & Peychaud's bitters.
Step 3
Add a few drops of absinth (don't overdo it!)
Step 4
(optional) A few drops of green chartreuse. In fact you're supposed to put the chartreuse in an atomiser and light it over the drink, but we'll assume you're a normal citizen and don't have that kind of equipment at home.
Step 5
Squeeze an orange peel to get the juices on the drink and garnish with a maraschino cherry.
